This surgical steel chainmaille byzantine bracelet is made by hand from small interconnected surgical steel rings. It’s very strong, durable and resistant to water, sweat, chemicals, saltwater, UV….pretty much everything a bracelet should be resistant to. It doesn’t cause any problems even to people with sensitive skin or allergies.

Closing mechanism is made from an adjustable chain and either hook, or clasp.

It is of course possible to make it longer/shorter.

–My personal favourite as far as chainmaille weaves go – I have been wearing a byzantine chain on a regular basis for almost 17 years at this point (as of 2021) 🙂

–Filigree is a name for delicate metalwork of combined beads and twisted wires soldered to a surface. It also refers to a wire made of two wires twisted together. In this case, the connecting rings in the weave are made of filigree wires.

I gladly accept returns and exchanges. Please contact me within: 14 days of delivery

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Custom or personalised orders

Perishable products (like food or flowers)

Digital downloads

Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

Returns and exchange details

Returns policy:

In case of damaged or defective items, you can return them, if the damage or defect was caused before you received it, and it’s not just the regular wear, or damage caused by wear (example: if a chain breaks, because it caught on something, it’s not a defect).

You can return purchased items within 14 days of receiving them (or a third person receiving them on your behalf) without giving a reason, if they are undamaged, unworn, and in the same condition in which they were delivered. You must then send the items within 14 days of giving me notice about your intention of sending them back. Your refund will be processed after I receive them. You will get a full refund of your original order (I am unable to refund you for the return shipping and costs connected to the return shipping though , or for the cost of a shipping upgrade).

I might subtract an appropriate amount of money from your refund for damage or devaluation of items you returned if necessary.

This option to return is not applicable to custom-made/altered/bought-in-greater-volume-than-originally-available or made-to-specific-size items.

In case of exchanges, we can work everything out by mutual agreement.

Order cancellation:

You can cancel the order only if it wasn’t sent yet.

In case of custom-made/altered/bought-in-greater-volume-than-originally-available items, you can only cancel the order, if work on those items haven’t started yet.

Refunds and Lost Deliveries

In the case of lost parcel sent with Royal Mail International Standard option, the situation will be solved by a mutual agreement.

In the case of lost parcel sent with Royal Mail International Standard Tracked & Signed option, I will resend the items as soon as possible. You can request to have this upgraded shipping by contacting: contact@nerdychicken.ca

In the case of lost parcel that was sent back to me, the situation will be solved by a mutual agreement.

If refund is due, I will refund you without delays, either using the way you originally payed by, or by an alternate method after mutual agreement.

Shipping

I will send the ordered items after receiving payment, as fast as I can or within an agreed timeframe in case of custom-made/altered/bought-in-greater-volume-than-originally-available items.

These are the available shipping options:

The shipping option used is Royal Mail International Standard, which will be delivered to you via the Postal Service. The flat shipping rate of CCA $8.00
(US $6) covers this shipping.

Shipping upgrade – Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed – with the benefit of tracking and requiring a signature at delivery. Please contact contact@nerdychicken.ca to arrange an upgrade to your shipping option. You need to request this as soon as possible – once the shipping process has started it will not be able to be changed.

Delivery times:

The delivery aim worldwide is 7-10 business days, however, from previous experiences, delivery can take a bit longer when shipping to Canada. The delivery time is for guidance only – Unfortunately, I am unable to bear responsibility for any delays, though I always try my best to help solve any issues with this to both your and mine mutual satisfaction.

I would allow 2 – 4 weeks for international shipments to be on the safe side. There may be additional delays at customs which cannot be accounted for. If you haven't received your item even after 4 weeks, definitely let me know.
